Porter Dees

I'm a long-time resident of the Placitas area having relocated from Indiana in 1971. I graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1976 and started my real estate career in 1983. I've seen the small village of Placitas grow from a few hundred people to around six thousand today.

Fortunately, the growth has been well-planned with thoughtful covenants and restrictions in most areas and lot sizes around an acre or more. For three decades I've been involved in helping people realize their dream of living in our beautiful mountain foothill community. Whether you are moving in or you have to leave the area, I have the local knowledge and experience to get the job done.

Over the years I've owned my own company, been a Qualifying Broker for another company, served on several committees at the Greater Albuquerque Association of Realtors and am a past Vice President of the Board of Directors. In the mid-1990's, I earned the coveted Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) Designation. I am active in the community and have volunteered my time on several causes over the years.

In my spare time, I'm an avid golfer at our fabulous local courses, love to hike our many mountain trails, play drums in one of our local classic rock bands and explore this wonderful state that we call The Land of Enchantment in my travel trailer.
